Why it's on the list

Thermally bonded polyester with up to 85% recycled fibre and no binders or glues. Non-irritant, so no itchy fibres in the roof space or the house, and low VOC. Good Environmental Choice Australia certified.

Watch-outs

It's plastic: inert and itch-free, but it won't buffer moisture like wool or wood fibre. Check the R-value per thickness against glasswool before you swap.
